Description:
Hughes Christensen, the most innovative and technically advanced drill bit manufacturer in the world has an immediate opening for a Technical Training Manager -- Western Hemisphere located in The Woodlands. This position is responsible for planning, coordination, delivery and measurement of all phases of the technical training curriculum. The technical training curriculum includes both instructor-led and e-learning courses. This position requires leadership to ensure the integrity of the technical training program and integration with other types of training and development. It will require facilitating consensus with internal customers and requires good communication and negotiation skills. This position reports to the Director of Training.
Responsibilities:
- Analyzes and determines technical training needs of the North America & Latin America Regions
- Delivers the full slate of Technical Training from Drill Bit Foundation to Diamond Tech, Tricone Tech and Hole Opening Tech
- Responsible for technical training staff and budget
- Manages technical training specialist
- Sets schedules for classroom instruction
- Participates as subject matter expert (SME) for course design and development
- Collaborate with the e-Learning Manager for the delivery of computer based training courses
- Collaborate with the HCC Applications OASIS University Technical & Training Manager(s) with the training and certification program for application engineers
- Administer and monitor effectiveness/ROI of training programs

- Strong facilitation skills

Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- BSc degree in Engineering, preferred
- 5+ years of experience with intimate knowledge of Hughes Christensen products and services
